I am determined to catch up on my blog postings because I've been meaning to put down my 2009 goals in writing, here in the blog, so there's no escaping from them later. But being the procrastinator supreme I insist on being all caught up on past tense postings first. So here goes:
Last Friday's workout: January 2nd. 5 miles on the treadmill at 8:30 pace with a good strtch afterward and then some weight lifting. What more can I say? Boring, watching the tv's, packed at the gym today - new year's resolution peeps. Some old guy, basically wearing street clothes, was using the machines in front of my treadmill. He was completely in a daze & pissing off the folks around him. Just when this one woman would stand up, he would plop down into her seat. He did a set and didn't even notice her waiting there rolling her eyes, and then he got up, moved to the next machine without the slightest wipe down. Then she really looked p.o.'d but wiped it down herself before resuming her workout. Then the old guy just moved down the line and was interupting everyone. Sad, really very sad.
Saturday: skipped working out. Muscles feeling some ache from lifting. Arch's on both feet feeling some minor discomfort today.
Sunday: cross training work at gym. 10 mins treadmill to warm up. 20 mins elipticle (spell?) stepper and then 10 mins bike. Got the HR up somewhat better today but still find it difficult to get intot he zone when doing anything other than running. Intend to try swimming this coming week...probably Tuesday.
